How long does it take to build an ecommerce site and what are the requirements?

There are some things which all websites need. These include but are not limited to:

Brand Identity (A name and slogan if there is, logo, brand colors if any)
Software Requirements Specification Document
The website content (usually a typed document file provided after all functionalities have been discussed and validated)
Media (Pictures, videos, links to social media channels, etc)

Regular portfolio sites and blogs usually take 2 – 5 weeks to complete. Ecommerce sites, however, are more demanding and could take 1 – 12 months to build. It depends greatly on the functionalities expected. A simple online shop with offline/online purchase functionalities would typically take 1 – 2 months to complete.
